David Wetton (2010-07-26): To cut a long story short we had a pitch booked to arrive at the site 10AM however due to a slight delay in leaving and unexpected traffic on out trip (Quite a long 3 hour trip) we where a couple of hours late. Upon arrival the owner met us and told us he had been trying to contact us since 11am. I told him that I had not received any calls however my phone had been on a car mount for the whole trip and maybe I had a bad signal.

At this point the owner became very aggressive and accused me of calling him a lier. To which I replied that I was not calling him a lier but just that my phone had not rung.

It transpires that he had already given our pitch away although it was still only 1pm in the afternoon. When I asked him if he had any additional pitches he aggressively told me he did not and it was my own fault. He continued to raise his voice at me at which point I got in my car and drove off to try and find somewhere else.

All in all I'm sure the camp site is very nice but the owner has some serious customer service issues that he needs to address with himself.

For this reason I can not recommend this camp site to anyone as if you are a bit late there is every chance that you will be talked to very badly by the owner and have nowhere to stay when you arrive.
