Info: We offer a tranquil setting in open countryside exclusively for adults only next door to the National Trust Wicken Fen Wildfowl Centre. A rural atmosphere within twenty acres of paddocks, divided into landscaped fields by hedgerows with spacious pitches. Stanford Park is centrally located for visiting many attractions in the area, including Cambridge University, Ely Cathedral and Newmarket Races. Excellent for cycling, dog walking and fishing. We are open all year round and have a large hard standing area for winter use. Clean and well maintained, the Park includes a modern heated toilet block with hot showers, launderette, ironing point, hairdryer, electric hook-ups, gas supply and an emergency services phone. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead. We cater for caravans, motor homes, tents and organised rallies. It is advisable to book for Bank Holidays and peak periods, the minimum stay for Bank Holidays being three nights. Booking is essential out of season. Exclusive fields for seasonal pitches for only £460, includes free winter storage. Approved and highly recommended by all the relevant tourist authorities, and inspected annually.

Cambridge Stanford Park reviews (1):

David Wetton (2010-07-26): To cut a long story short we had a pitch booked to arrive at the site 10AM however due to a slight delay in leaving and unexpected traffic on out trip (Quite a long 3 hour trip) we where a couple of hours late. Upon arrival the owner met us and told us he had been trying to contact us since 11am. I told him that I had not received any calls however my phone had been on a car mount for the whole trip and maybe I had a bad signal.

At this point the owner became very aggressive and accused me of calling him a lier. To which I replied that I was not calling him a lier but just that my phone had not rung.

It transpires that he had already given our pitch away although it was still only 1pm in the afternoon. When I asked him if he had any additional pitches he aggressively told me he did not and it was my own fault. He continued to raise his voice at me at which point I got in my car and drove off to try and find somewhere else.

All in all I'm sure the camp site is very nice but the owner has some serious customer service issues that he needs to address with himself.

For this reason I can not recommend this camp site to anyone as if you are a bit late there is every chance that you will be talked to very badly by the owner and have nowhere to stay when you arrive.
