Camping in Norway:

Norway camping and travel

Norway, also known as the Kingdom of Norway, is an amazing country that is located in Northern Europe. Sweden, Russia, Finland and Denmark border the country with Oslo being the capital of Norway. With a population over 4 million, Norway consists of a beautiful coastline giving away to the Atlantic Ocean which hosts perfect multiple spots for a camping trip. Norway has a rich culture in literature, fine arts, music and culinary arts. In fact, Norway is a leader in personal rights for different minority groups such as gay/lesbian and women’s rights. Norwegian is the official language, but the majority of the population is also fluent in other languages such as French, Spanish and English. Chances are, if you’re planning a camping trip in Norway, you’ll find someplace or someone that speaks the same language as you do. One of the best places to go camping in Norway is Nordal Turistsenter. At this campsite, you’re able to do a variety of outside activities such as biking, skiing, water rafting and hiking. From Nordal Turistsenter, you can also visit the Gudbrandsdalen Valley which is the home of three national parks: Dovrefjell, Jotunheimen and Rondane. Other cities and towns that house campsites are Garmo and Lom. No matter where you choose to stay, be it a campsite or tent, Norway is a great place for an amazing camping experience.
