Knowles (2011-08-04): A very friendly, very French camping site. I have just returned from a 10 day holiday there. The site appears to be family run and has a nice atmosphere. The owner is amazing and personally says goodbye to the campers though his French is next to nil!! Highlights include the Saturday night dance and the Tuesday late night swim. The atmosphere in the late night swim has to be experienced to be believed and would never ever be allowed in our own H & S minded country as swimmers pile down the slide one after another into a semi lit pool but the experience was great. Would recommend this site. The pitches are all hedged off and the shower/toilet blocks are immaculate though for nervous Brit campers look out there's no toilet seats!!!
