The island of Corse (Corsica) is located South of France and West of Italy in the Mediterranean Sea. Camping Corse is very much the same as in the mainland France: there are as many camping places as there are towns and villages. You can get to Corsica either by taking a plane or a ferry from the ports of France. However, it is worth mentioning that using a ferry to get to Corse is comparably cheaper and quicker (it takes roughly 3 hours to reach the island). As a bonus, while on board you get to enjoy the amazing scenery and work on your tan.
When looking into camping Corse, you need to keep in mind that most French go on vacation from the middle of July throughout August. Therefore, it is very hard to find camping places and the prices increase almost five-fold. However, if you manage to avoid the crowds, camping Corse might be a very pleasant experience. You can choose from a wide variety of things to do there: go wine tasting in the vineries near your camping places, go hiking in the mountains, soak up the sun on the island’s numerous beaches and of course sample the marvellous food from the local cuisine of Corse. However, if you look for a very exciting night life and never-ending parties, going camping Corse probably is not for you.
