Info: Camping Veliko Tarnovo is a brand new, purpose built, high quality campsite designed and managed by life-long campers. There is free Wifi across the site, the showerblock has strong, hot showers, a camper's kitchen, fully-equipped laundry and family bathroom. There's a superb cafe/bar on site with an internet PC, if you don't fancy the short walk into the village. The views from every pitch are stunning and as the site is just outside the village, it's perfectly quiet. You can look forward to the best night's sleep in Bulgaria.

Directions: Take the A4 from Veliko Tarnovo towards Varna. Go though Sherametya. Take the next exit to Elena. Follow signs through Dragizhevo Village to the site.

vivienne luscott (2011-10-21): A fantastic campsite with super swimming pool with views of the nearby hills. Truly clean toilet blocks and showers. A great menu for both breakfast and evening with snacks and drinks all day from the bar terrace which also has panoramic views!! A truly wonderful place to stopover or use as a Bulgarian holiday base. Help of all kinds including planning your next stop or local places to eat, see and and shop is on offer from the owners Nick and Nicky

happycamper (2010-12-04): i do not normally write reviews but after staying at this camsite in the summer i was so impressed i felt that i had to write a review - what a wondereful campsite, the campsite is lovely, very tranquil, the views are stunning, the shower block is amazing. The owners Nick and Nicky are so helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them, they made us feel very welcome and were more than happy to answer any querry that we had.
The cafe on site is wonderful, the food is very very good and excellent value.i understand that on speaking to the owners they have won some Tourist awards and from staying on the site i can understand why.
If you get the chance i would highly recommend stayin at this site.

Ida & Hans (2010-03-09): Very helpful couple, better shower block than most in the uk. Excellent food in cafe. Free internet wifi. Peaceful with great views and local walks. Close to Veliko Tarnovo beautiful city.

lisa (2010-01-17): We felt like we had arrived in a little piece of heaven, after being on the road for 2 months, it was lovely to find somewhere so peaceful and CLEAN. The showers were superb, the cleanest and most modern we have seen. We were only 10 minutes from Veliko Tarnovo which has to be one of the best undiscovered medievil cities of Europe.
Our plans were to only stay for 2 days but we found many great day trips from this base and we couldn't believe how cheap everyting was away from the Tourist places that we ended up staying a week.
There is a lovely little cafe on site with a really good selection of Bulgarian wine for about 5 euros a bottle and tasty home cooked food, and Nicky makes fresh bread and cakes everyday, YUM !
We have never filled in any review forms before but we were made to feel so welcome by the owners Nik and Nicky who also helped us with great day trip ideas (not in any of our travel books) that we wanted to let other traveller know about this place.
• Weakness : Really hard to think of any critism as the owners were so fantastic and helpful, the only think we felt could have been better was the signs to find the campsite as we don't have GPS but after talking to the owners we found out that this should be fixed by Spring 2010 (Bulgarian Red Tape apparently).
